I object to any "hate" labels; "hate crimes", "hate groups" etc

. But it's worth noting that a hate group's actions — which include intimidation and harassment directed at a person, institution, or any other entity that "manifest evidence of prejudice based on race, religion, sexual orientation, or ethnicity" — may be investigated as domestic terrorism by the FBI.

So the Christian religion is a hate group?

They have a right to say whatever they want but so do I. Any "group" that decides to exploit a funeral of anyone let alone an innocent child because they are trying to "preach the word of God" is disgusting. They make me throw up. They can believe whatever they want as far as I'm concerned as long as it doesn't affect me, but the fact that they have no empathy to greiving families crosses the line. Have some respect! They would get their point across much better if they were a respected group not an obnoxious, idiotic, brainwashed cult. Petition signed.

I positively loathe them.

That being said, they should be able to say whatever they want to say.

It is a bunch of moronic blather - give it the respect it deserves by laughing at it. It is a shame that they teach their children this horror though. Ironically we (meaning the vast majority of Americans) used to teach that people with dark skin weren't really men and that innumerable racial, cultural, social and religious groups were inferior - the kind of thing that Westboro teaches. One has to think that the fact that these people are universally despised and mocked is a good thing, no? Perhaps we are growing as a society. Hope.

When they are left behind and endure the tribulation.

1 Corinthians 13
New International Version (NIV)
13 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Do I have a right to shout them down? Oh yeah, that requires a courageous society, like every other society before us.

We used to have socialists (real ones), communists, KKK, all sorts of things we now consider ultra-extreme...they used to be socially acceptable. Why aren't they now? The majority shouted them down. It's not always right, but usually it is. The reason this church still exists is because the media loves them, and we feed the media rather than going out there like good citizens or Christians (for me, both) and shouting them down.

As a Christian, it would be an obligation (if tards like that existed in California, I would). As an American patriot, it would be my duty. I don't know what's wrong with our 'nation' today...we're such pussies in so many ways, yet we get hard-ons for pakistan, afghanistan, iraq, and other muslim peoples that definitely do not want to go to war with us. The best part, we do nothing to the real muslims who are a threat...if anything, for the last 20 years, we've been encouraging them to fight others, as if they'll stop hating us.

Your having your first proper long war . These flash in the pan wars you have had since you formed a nation don't teach enough about war . What you need is a war with a people that lasts a good century or so ,one you can really throw person after person into ,pile of cash after pile of cash .One that gets fought all over the place . Then once you have been through several leadership changes eventually you get the guy who calls the end of it ,usually cos yer out of money or people or both .
