Chuck(qiknes) has a Akra pipe on his 06 ZZR600. Maybe he could make a sound clip.

hmmm. :nuts? okay. I'd have thought you'd have mentioned you got the e-mail I sent, especially since I asked a question above; I didn't know if you got the one I sent or maybe chuck sent one to you. but whatev, you're apparently running the show. carry on, I won't challenge your rule any further.

That's my soundclip of my Akra Ti Bolt-on. I'll listen to it and match the revs tomrrow so there's a reference on what I revved it to (I'm guessin 9-10k). BTW that was taken by my MP3 recording mic sittin on the seat. :) if you wanted a reference.

edit - I got another one that's like 5k rev i remember but i also moved the mic around so u hear the pop. just let me know if your interested. Peace

There you are sir. However, the pop I was talking about is from the can at idle at a certain angle. If you want the back pressure pop (or whatever it is that causes that) let me know I can make a vid of it... have one already. BTW it's still fkin raining here so she's under the covers (can't match the rev's from the first clip yet).

Just in case anyone may have missed the short video clip of me riding some of my favorite south eastern Indiana twisties. Here you go The road in the clip is the road I live on. Lots of curves and elevation changes. And not a whole lot of cars either. You can also hear what the Yoshimura exhaust.

No...Three bolts on the can and one for the bracket on the passenger foot peg. Unbolt the stock hardware and re-install the new can with the hardware provided by Yoshimura. Don't forget to use lock-tite on the bolts. 15 minute job:)

Here's your choices my friend.

Also if you see the word "Zyclone" for the Yoshimura exhaust, that's a different type of baffle in the pipe which is much quieter than the RS-3 with the "Race" Baffles. I hope this helps you out some. It looks like morepoweracing has the cheapest price at $341.00.

I was curious, do aftermarket slip-on pipes do anything performance wise for the bike? If so, anyone have an actual h.p. dyno run or timeslips with the before/after results?

with any good slip on, you should see about a 3-4 hp gain on the dyno, some torque improvement and a smoother power band. not a huge difference, but the sound/safety/smoother powerband is worth the money imo.

i think d&d and two brothers have dyno charts on their website.
