It is one of three 250s Kawasaki offers. It replaced the Ex250 in Canada. The only thing the two bikes share in common is the engine. Weights are the same but the styling is very different. The ZZR has a perimeter frame, single exhaust pipe and larger wheels (17" vs 16" on the EX250).
The ZZR handles differently and opinions on mixed. The smaller EX250 seems to handle a little better over the ZZR.
