Well lets just say not all 7Rs are the same. However, my "thats it" was sarcastic as to "ok thats pretty fast".
And I have a few mods....nothing too serious.
But i'd put my money on my bike against it at the track.
I'll just run it at the track on Wednesday (weather permitting) and see what time it gets.

Sorry about that, I can't really sense the sarcasticness of it over the net-my bad. Yeah the new 600's are pretty fast, especially the 636. At the track, its all rider skill and I know thats what the 7R was set up for. They're very solid riding bikes.

Hey beowulf2k...that is the sickest avatar that Ive ever seen...fooking sweeeet!!!!!

Oh, and back on topic, stick with the 7r. I rode 2 gixxer 750s, a gixxer1000 and the 636 over the weekend and I got a good 15 mins on each bike. I still like my 7!! The others are real nice and fast but there is something about the weight of the zx7r that Im in love with....so sturdy. Although it may not be the fastest one by 1/4 mi. times, but it feels faster, looks faster and is different than all the newer bikes that change every year. Why change something that Kawi mastered the first time????

No offense here, but you can't tell the way a bike rides in just 15 minutes. When I traded my F3 in and bought my 636, the 636 felt extremelly awkward. I did love the brakes which were/are perfect, the tranny, and throttle response, but the handling and seating position were so different than my F3 that I was having second thoughts. Now after about 3 weeks of riding it, I feel in love with the bike and feel like it and I go together perfectly. Just about 2 weeks ago I rode a 04 R6 and the same thing happened again-I rode it for about 15 minutes and didn't like it at all compared to my bike. The handling was soo much different, although very stable and light, but the seating, power, and overall handling was so different than what I'm used to that I didn't like it compared to my bike. But that is not a fair comparison, if I were to ride it for a week or so straight, then I would have different opinions.

I agree with what you are saying but I got on all of them. We all swapped bikes through out the afternoon in an industral park that has a bunch of long straits and some nice corners. I didnt just ride them around a parking lot, naw meaaann!!! But back on topic, my point was that the 7r's are very stable and although they are pigs they are also very fast compared to the newer 600SS

Hehe. well bikes are like women (no offense Kawagirl, you can replace the women with men in my sentence..lol)
They are all the same, some are red, some are blue, some are small, some are big, some ride rough, some ride smooth, some will work with ya, some will buck ya...but at the end of it all.....they ALL have two wheels and we appreciate them.....until we turn em in for the new models!

Are they going to make another 7R? They really need to bring 750's back
I dunno if they are, but I think Kawasaki is cooking something up to dominate the 750 cc class.

also be careful with that jump dude, cause the other day I jumped some tracks, and even though the 7r has one of the best, if not the best front suspension/brake combos, it still got a little squirrely on me.

im with wulf...i think they will bring back the 7's
z750....they are already making the engine, now all they need to do is put it something :) i seem to feel like thats going after the fz6, so maybe it will be a slightly modified (less power) than a new zx7 motor possibly?

I seriously doubt they will be bringing back a 750cc sportbike. Unless a new racing class opens up, or Superbike goes back to 750cc for inline fours, there's no reason to make a 750. Perhaps a new naked/streetfighter 750, but I can't see a reason to make a 750cc sportbike.

Shit happens, ya never know, But one thing bout Kawasaki, they seem to bring back all the oldies reformed and redone.
I am just hoping, but then again, who needs a new 750 when we got a 636 that woops up on the Gixxer 1000.
