I went to the Dr. today
but the cars I saw made up for it...
Got to see a Cayenne Turbo S getting on the freeway. I was already doing about 65 in Sis's Accord criusin along and from the on ramp on the right I heard this killer sound and suddenly a soccer mom suv cane SCREAMING by
looked badass and that fooker was FAST not bad for a kid hauler... too bad it retails for 140k+ That was a awesome car.
A little later in town on a main city street at a light I hear the unmistakable sound of a badass V8 gettin down to biz. I automaticly turn on the search radar as I hear the revs come up and lots of tire screeching accompanied with the scream of a V8 at a solid 7k+ I hear a shift to second and lots more screaming tires and v8 noise then a shift to 3rd and on a side street crossing the one Im on see a old beater fox body rustang emerging from a growing cloud of smoke :lol That had me grinning and snikering like a kid. Dam nothing sounds like a healthy V8 doing its thing... :drool Ya just dont hear that much anymore...
Then at Safeway I spot a flawless beige n black Model T Ford (with the rumble seat open
) with normal plates not the uasual historic ones. That caught my attention, thinking it was just a clean modernized rebuild... when I saw the wood spoked wheels!
I park across from it and the owner comes strolling up to it and then I notice he grabs a crank handle from inside the car! WOW!! a daily driver Model T dood sticks the crank in the hole up front goes inside fiddles with Im assuming was the spark advance on the steering collum goes back to the front and cranks it a bit and the near 100 year old gem clatters to life!!! Hell Ya!!
A little grinding of gears and he backs up grinds a bit more (no syncros) and grinning he criuses off!!! That was Awesome!! I love old stuff like that, a era gone by..... I wish I had a camera to get some pics of it, it looked like it just rolled out of the Ford assembly line!
Found some huge hi res pics of aa cayenne tho...
