The 599 is a sweet bike. The more I look at one, the more I want one. I'm going to get one just so I can post in this forum. Anyone have pics of theirs, post up.

I have one, and you're right, it is a sweet bike. I love it. A lot of people underestimate its performance, I think because its naked. I will try to post a pic, but I'm new to the site and I'm not sure how!

I love mine too! Question. In the first 500 miles look how my pipes changed color. Onyx yours didn't do that. I wonder why mine did? I tried cleaning them but it is permanently turned. ???

Hi Guys
I have the 2003 model in Gloss Black, I Love It !!!!

I am just going to suss how to post pics on here, then you can see my baby.
ba55man you have a nice bike!! Here in the States 04 is the first model year for the 599 so only colors I've seen is Asphalt and Yellow. Nice to see yours!
Cheers gr599 I also love the colour of your bike, check out the gallery on the hornets nest there are Hornets of every colour

www.hondahornet.co.uk
Thanks. I did go to Hornets nest, mind-boggling the amount of 599's etc there. Here we are definately a small minority! I am curious about where all the aftermarket parts can be had, like the undertail kits, as I can find next to nothing here.
I think as the bike becomes more popular over there, is when all the after market parts boys arrive. Try going to the riderlist section on the nest as there a few american boys listed and maybe they could help you out as to where they accessed parts.

Didn't wanna post a new thread just for a couple pics, so I'll dig up this old one. Here's a couple pics of my 599 I took tonight after getting my frame sliders put on:

Quality isn't great since my camera sucks ass.

I like the look of the exhaust, the Dogs Danglies one might say.
Thanks. Question for you, where did you get that Hornet radiator grille and was it reasonably priced? I saw something similar at whaccessories.com but $80 is a bit steep for what it is.
Hi 5hundred99, I got the Rad grill from a lad at the Hornets Nest, it cost me £65 which is expensive but it is a well made bit of kit....

Check it out and the rest of the site at http://www.hondahornet.co.uk/pinkysgrills.html

How much is that in dollars?
Ouch, I just went on a Currency converter and £65 comes out at $125.823 USD
Keep an eye on e.bay as the rad grills appear on there quite often at reduced prices

As its winter over here I've fitted a Baglux Tank Cover just as a bit of protection.

I've also fitted the Renntec Engine Protectors, as I dont fancy throwing the bike down the road.
