Well I never went, and I wanna go before it starts getting pretty cold.

I live in evansville, google says 5.5 hours away, which isn't bad at all. And I want to go probably in 2 or 3 weeks.

2 or 3 people that can ride pretty well and have been there before would be awesome. Or i'll just go my self I don't really care. haha.

They motel/apartment rooms as well as camping and it is on the dragon. My first choice, if you going mid season and not camping then two wheel inn is nice not quite as crowded and has small garages for each room. Each garage can fit three sportbikes.
I went last fall Oct 10-15 and was camping, the temp was fine.

I'm probably just going to leave friday after i'm done with class and get there as it starts getting dark. Then spend the whole day riding.

Depending on how tired, stay that night and do a bit more riding sunday morning, or just ride back saturday afternoon.

$10 a night camping could make a deal for less, we and a friend paid five each night for 2 tents. $40 a night in a small cabin with 2 bunkbeds, hot shower, and laundry machine, he even let us use his bbq grill no charge free propane. The owners name is Windy, he stayed up half the night talking bikes and drinking with us. The snake is just as good as dragon with less traffic, if anything its more challenging since its just as tight but going up and down hill. 486 turns in a 12 mile radius.
check out 421 in shady valley in North Eastern TN and 129 and cherohala skyway, 28, devils triangle, Wolf Pen Gap in Northern GA, and there is about ten more fantastic roads down that way

shady valley is quite a bit further. So I may keep that in reserve for another ride unfortunately.

did you ever make it to the Gap? i love that place, went several time last summer, about 10-12 days total. i try to go on weekends as often as possable. if your still around this year, we'll make a trip out of it.
