Completely random thread....

Definitely one of the bikes on my bucket lists in the future. No I'm not getting it next, but I was just sitting here thinking about it.

I love the way it looks and sounds.

What were your thoughts on it? Lots of torque?

What about a Suzuki TL 1000? Similar bike right, with the V twin?

Damn bike is valued enough that I wouldn't even want to own one. I'd be scared of dropping it or fucking it up. Throwing it down the track? I'd be bawling...

Great bike, though. Sounds mean all to be damned, too.

I had an '02 and promptly crashed it and bought an '03. I put a Power Commander on it and Micron slip-ons. Loved that bike. It would set off car alarms in town. :banana

How strong is the engine braking on the RC51?
Like any high compression twin.

....and no slipper, RC51s were made back when people knew how to shift.

Unicorn bike for me. Always wanted one. I catch myself shopping for one on occasion but I know I just shouldn't.
I want one now, but that would be a stupid decision. It would get wrecked. No where near ready for that level of torque and performance.

Their price isn't too bad from what I've seen on Craigslist.

Considering the last of them were build 10 years ago they carry a pretty hefty price tag.

5-9,000.

My ideal garage would consist of nearly all old Hondas.

MC22, NC35, RC30,45,51.

That's only 100 grand in bikes. Lol.

Never had an RC but love them... I did have a TL1000s when they came out and it was awesome, loved the midrange and torque.... But the RC is a better looking bike

You live in Calgary. They aren't that rare.
