Spent 4th and 5th grade while they were still filling out the fleet of B-2's. We'd get a new one every couple months with a big commission/dedication ceremony to go with it. Wasn't too bad as a kid; fishing pond, some woods to screw around it, an entire base which was within limits to bike/walk/skate. Not sure I'd be stoked on it as an adult. Good riding down in the Ozarks maybe?
There are plenty of people that LOVE it there. just depends on your situation. Depending on your lifestyle, you MAY TOTALLY dig it. Had a Flight chief retire from here to move back there and Loves it. The base is setup quite well. can walk anywhere in just a few mins. base housing ranges from crapola to brand spanking new. lots of things to do around there. Housing is way cheaper than here. as an example, our $170k house down there would easily be $250k up here. lots of hunting. watch out for Hwy DD (stands for Dead Deer cause so many get hit).
We thought we would LOVE it there. tons of race tracks within just a few hours, KC is only an hour away with St. Louis the other direction. But by day two, I wanted OUT. Wife changed her mind a few weeks later. Only took 3.5 yrs to get back here. never going back.
