i've come to the conclusion that if you painted your rims white you:

A) you have alot of time, patience, and dedication to keeping them clean
B)you just don't ride much.

and if you bought your bike with white rims

A)See A and B above
B)You just ride em and admire the nice dingy grey

I always keep my rims clean no matter how much time I have. But then again, I only ride the canyons on the weekends and never commute on either one of my bikes.

Exactly, I use WD40 to clean them, then use pledge after wards, makes cleaning a lot easier in the future.

I start to clean them when I wash the bike, using auto wash soap. Once the bike is dry, I use 3m or Meguiars plastic polish to really get at the tough dirt that gets in the grain of the wheels. Works great but having white wheels is not fun. I love the black wheels on my track bike.
