Hey all, just looking for some input on towns north of NYC to move to. I currently live on LI but housing and taxes are nuts here. Looking to live just outside of a nice town upstate with a good school district affordable housing and 1.45 hr commute to Queens. Currently thinking of Florida or Warwick NY.

to answer your question, any town off the Hutch is convenient to Queens by taking the Whitestone or Triboro

northern westchester is really nice and putnam off of the taconic..Im in Mahopac and i've been here my whole life basically..Good school systems all around here in Putnam i wouldnt say any of them were bad..a lot more people have moved up this way..and its changes a lot..but its still clean ,crime free,and away from the city but not to far and with a country feeling..

If you are thinking of FL and lived in NYC area before, get ready for a big adjustment. Life is slowwww here compared to NY. but great to live in because there's no snow and there's beaches all around.
