Gotta be careful with some of those anti-corrosive properties of some coolants, though. SOme have been found to eat water pump seals, etc...bob12312357 said:Water wetter and liquid ice are diffrent. However it has anti corrosive properties that tap water alone doesn't have.
If your bike is prone to over heating it will make a noticable diffrence. Water wetter will help even better then water alone. At Pocono raceway they make me drain the coolant and replace with water b4 i am allowed out on the track.ajohn505 said:Yeah, to me this is one of those "not rocket science" things. Just use whatever pre-mix your local shop has and drain at the recommended intervals. I'm guessing you'd have to be running at extremely high temps for antifreeze to cause overheating

yea but the original ? is not about on the track.bob12312357 said:If your bike is prone to over heating it will make a noticable diffrence. Water wetter will help even better then water alone. At Pocono raceway they make me drain the coolant and replace with water b4 i am allowed out on the track.
That's probably more a track safety thing than an engine safety thing, since normal ethylene glycol antifreeze is very slippery and hard to clean off of a track.bob12312357 said:If your bike is prone to over heating it will make a noticable diffrence.
