I think i bought my helmet a size too big. But ive already worn it once / twice, and doubt the store will let me exchange it. Do you guys think i should try and sell it and get another with the right size?
Clean it up make sure it is nice and sparkly, tell them it just doesn't fit and see what they can do. You might be surprised. When people buy online they usually can send it back if it doesn't fit as long as it is within a certain time frame. SO I figure the local store would do the same. Lets hope so.
If the helmet's been worn and used (such as having bugs on it and such), then the shop has no obligation to take the helmet back. When I was working in a motorcycle shop, it was policy that for a return the item had to be in NEW and unused condition with the orginal packaging.
As for a helmet that's been work while out on the bike...if it has ANY damage, it most likely will not be able to be returned. The buyer should be sure that the helmet he/she purchases fits properly. This is one of the benefits of going to your local shop. They have the experience to help you fit the helmet so that you don't realize it's too big.
Good luck. My suggestion is to sell the helmet and buy the one that fits.
What do you guys think about this bike in comparrison to a ninja 500r? The one I am looking at is a 1992 with 8000 miles for $1700, and it looks pretty good. Should I stay away from it since it is pretty old, or will it run fine?
It looks like this
I've been away from riding since 2009, when I had a 2005 GSXR 600. I'm looking to get another bike, probably a year or 2 old, unless there's a really good reason to buy brand new, and am thinking a 750 or 1000.
Can anyone out there give recommendations as to brands and bike sizes...
I am getting a bike this spring and am worried that because of my height it will be hard to find a bike will fit me ok. I have sat on bikes and they all feel ok but my knees feel a little to far up. I am wondering what sportbikes out there are better or worse for taller riders. I am looking for...
Hello all, long time member but haven't been active in quite a few years. I ended up not going the sport bike route initially. I've been riding a 2003 883 sportster for the last 2 years and have the urge for a sport bike again.
I know the consensus has always been no 600 Supersport for new...
Hi all, I'm new to SBN as this is my first post. I've spent lots of time reading about what I should buy for my first new bike and decided on Ninja 500R. The loan paperwork has gone through and I'm supposed to pick it up on tuesday.
I'm planning on taking the MSF course when they offer it...
