Hey guys just bought my first bike. Its a 2001 600f4I with 16,000 miles on it. I was riding in the evening and my temp went up to 220 degrees. The mannual said a warning light will come on at around 257. I was wondering if this is normal or shood I take it in. Thanks :hshot

That is normal, your fan should come on around 223 or 224. In traffic in will get up to that. Mine runs at 225 or 226 the fan brings it down. If you get into the 230 then I would get it checked but if it doesn't go over 226 it is working right.

Same as everyone else...if it got to 245 or so and I was waiting at a long light I'd shut her off.

As long as I'm moving at 45+, the bike is around 180.

If I'm sitting it'll climb. Fan kicks in around 225, brings it down to about 220.
