I'm looking for a GPS unit for my FZ6 and was wondering who here has one and what their experiences have been. I see Skippy has one (of everything! :hail ) on his bike. Looks like a Garmin Street Pilot III. That along with the Magellan Meridian Platinum are high on my list.

I'm looking for a unit that runs on batteries, can map routes and has expandable memory. It looks like most of the units out there do 1 or 2 but not all three things.

Also wondering if anyone has had any experience with WAAS enabled units and if they're that much better for riding.

Thanks

Walmart clearance special in the Fishing/Hunting Dept.

I picked up a Lowrance I-Finder at our local Wally World for $50.00. It isn't top of the line, but has expandable memory and downloadable maps. I leave it in the map pocket of my tank bag while riding. You can check out mounting options at www.gpscity.com. You can also find a good excuse to use your GPS by going geocaching. www.geocaching.com

Check your local Walmart....I've seen several GPSs go for 1/2 price on clearance. :D
