Wow, what a difference a few miles and more RPM's make. I now have just over 800 miles and the bottom end is stronger and after 8000 RPM.....Holy Cow......I've had it to 12000 and felt like I had hit a nitrous button after 9000!! Everyone was right, it loves to be revved and stretches the arms without a doubt. Over 9000 is not for the faint of heart. I'm Out.

I love it so much, nearly every take off from a stop I will rev the shit outta 1st and 2nd just to hit 60 in a few seconds, then jump from 2nd to 6th to cruise. Speed limits suck.

Amen to that! I do about the same thing, but I am having a hard time staying reasonably close to the speed limit. 10 to 15 over is the best I can seem to manage. I don't even get up into the upper range on the tach much. Maybe once or twice a ride. Bah. At least I am riding.

I find this bike to be major fun at or above 9K! Heck, even at 3K, it still feels on it's toes and ready to romp with just a slight twist of the throttle. And like Ken, I'm finding it keeps getting better and better as the miles go on. Seems like the bike really came alive right around the 650-700 mile range...more free revving, less 5K buzzies, smoother shifting, better bottom end etc.
