Hi,

today a went on a little ride about 100km.
But the driving was alot of fast acceleration and then quickbrake, where I use the enginebrake.
Halfway I notiched the engine was weird at low RPM.
So I tried to release the throttle and the engine stopped.
I then started it again by releasing the clutch, because I was i motion.

Then I drove of the mainroad and stopped the engine, but did not shut off the ignition.
When I tried to start it it could not start without I gave it throttle.
Then I turned of the ignition and turned it on again, and then there was no problem.

I have never had this problem before and the bike has driven 9000km.

It happended on the way back to, and I did the same to "fix" it.

I have Scorpion exhaust on, but no power commander.

Could it be because I do hard engine brakes from 10000+ rpm i low gear, that the injection control get shocked ? and could it be because the injection is not 100% adjusted to the exhaust ?

I had no problem when doing normal og fast riding without hard enginebrakes.
It accelerated fine all the time.
When I use the engine brake from hign rpm´s the engine "shoots" on the way down.

Anyone have an idea if a powercommander could help so the injection is set to fit the exhaust 100%?

Thanks

Thomas

I heard it could be the TPS (throttle position sensor). I have not had any trouble on my bike, but a few others on here have

Off topic but, I want to travel to Europe when I finish school next year. How is Denmark, and is it tourist friendly?

thanks

Yes take it to the dealer and they will change the TPS.

Update

I took the bike to my dealer, and explained the problem to them.
They contected Yamaha Denmark.
Yamaha said they had had a similar problem in another country, but they did not have a solution in their system.
So they would check out if the problem had been solved.

But it is nice to know I am not the only one :)

regards
