As of the end of the week I'll be starting a new job. I'm going to stay sworn as a part time officer to keep my certification, but I'll be doing something else now.

I'll be working at a Level 1 tramua center in the IT department. I'll be a Technical Specialist. I get to set around in a 5000 sq ft building and watch the servers, monitor the LAN and the WAN to 5-7 off site propertys. I'll be working rotating 12 hour shifts, a month of days and a month of nights. Pay will depend on what shift I'm working. Day shift from 7:30a-2:30p is $12.88/hr, then from 2:30p-7:30p is $15.38/hr. Night shift pay will start at $15.38/hr from 7:30p-11:30p then go to $19.38/hr from 11:30p-7:30a.

Once I get in and get alittle feel for the place I'll post and give you a general idea of what we are running.

Salary doesnt sound bad as the hrs get later. As long as you are content and happy with where this puts you rock on. I'm an MIS major gettin ready to grad about to entire market. I should be able to post something like this in less than a week....even though i already have a job secured.

I work third shift in a hospital as tier 1 support for 7 hospitals and a number of offsite clinics. I sit on my ass all night and check out SBN :D I make an extra dollar an hour for working nights. I would just see if you could get nights permanetely. Ask the rotation guy to switch with you.
