I am moving to utah in the next two weeks, and its good to see that this section of the board is picking up a little...

I will be buying my first bike this summer... (Taking MSF, And starting on a 500) But hopefully you guy's are still active on the boards next summer when I have enough miles under my belt for some group rides!

Thanks for the offer to help! It will probobly be at least a few months before I can pick up a bike. Just turned 18 last weekend, and I have no credit history... So I need to wait untill I get enough saved up, or get good enough credit to purchase a used 500...

Hopefully by that time I will have finished up MSF, and obtained my M license.

Oh yeah, I am definately going to buy a used one. It will get me on two wheels alot faster... Besides I won't have to sell a kidney that way! (I hear the U of U is offering somewhere around 15-20k though...) lol.

I'm looking to get a Ninja 500, but I'd go for the suzuki Gs500 if I found a good deal. I'm looking to spend 1500-2500. Hopefully that will get me a fairly decent ride?

I'll start shoping as soon as I have 1k saved up... and just take a small loan out for the rest...
