LOL @ the entire topic.

That is why I'm not a firm believer of respecting older people, because they're instantly "wiser" than us kids just because of age.

"Oh hey if I had been wearing I helmet I would be awaken and feeling all the pain, it is better to be brain dead and don't feel anything at all"

We're not necessarily wiser, but we do recognize sarcasm better.

That is why I've been understanding more jokes as I grow up :boink

BTW, I LOVED this comment:

How did I ever survive my childhood without a bicycle helmet? Seriously though, this is a choice you have to make and hopefully will have some choice in the future. I feel comfortable with a half helmet, but some want to dictate that you wear a full face helmet. Where does it stop. [email protected], NASCAR requires a full face helmet in a cager.
LOL NASCAR seems to be the only racing they watch...no wonder the AMA/DMG wants to do the nascarfication of american superbike racing :eek:nfloor

I wonder just how heavily some of those guys drink before they post (we already know the answer about drinking before a ride). The OP is the only one that seems remotely lucid and that post is actually SUPPOSED to be sarcastic.

So hes saying that he missed out of all the pain because he was wasnt wearing a helmet that caused him to go into a coma for almost a month? I would tough through the pain and would personally like to be concious. And I thought Harley Riders were supposed to be tough badasses just like me ;)

If he was wearing a full face helmet, he wouldn't have suffered hardly any of the head injuries. How is that not an argument for wearing a helmet? Sure, he still would've had all those other injuries, but at least he wouldn't have broken his FACE!

Well, to be fair there's not a lot of other closed-car racing shown. Everything else on TV is open-cockpit.

I have a 3/4 helmet I use for autocross.

Well, Speed channel does show 90% of NASCAR...even Speed Latin America.

I find it funny that they haven't heard of F1, heck even Indy...only NASCAR. I think stereotypes exist for a reason lol.

I always use a full face even when racing a cage...I guess it goes back to my karting childhood. I just love full face lids. Also it helps to hide my ugly self :)

I think I look pretty bad ass in my suit and full face helmet. So that's why I wear it :p

jk but I hate the wind so full face helmet is awsome.

Agree, the wind is great at 25 and under but after that I cant stand having the visor up unless I got sunglasses. Which are really just a hassle to tote around anyway when you switch often.

my favorite comment......

"I'll always wear a helmet but damn it pisses me off that the government tells me to wear one"

some how i knew i would see something like that in that forum
Yea, that was good. I agree with him, I mean, I'm morally opposed to taking another human's life and all, but god damn, it really burns my bridges that the Government has made it illegal!

Interesting comment, but consider the source - it's from someone who was hit on the head so hard they were unconscious for a month...

Hint: Indy and F1 are open cockpit.

Bike + cool helmet = female attention. Once the helmet is off though it's a different story. I've considered including my helmets as a part of my daily attire.
I've considered wearing my helmet while driving the car just to screw with people.
