So, I'm potentially buying a bike that is in great condition except the front right turn signal shorted after the original owner was messing with it. When you hit the right turn signal button you just hear a "bzzzzzing" sound. The lights don't even turn on and it is completely stock. The right rear turn signal also doesn't work, I'm guessing they're on the same circuit?

He said he got an estimate for 50 dollars to fix it.

Anyone have any estimates as the how much it will cost? The left turn signals (front and back) and rear brakes and headlights all work fine. Bike starts fine also.

Is it just bulbs/fuse or would wiring need to be changed and has anyone done a similar repair cost/time wise?

Thanks

That sounds like a wiring issue or the right circuit of the turn signal relay is toast. If you can track it down yourself, the parts aren't too bad. If you end up paying shop labor rates, it could get pricey.

Ask the guy where he messed with the wires and check that specific area for fraying. Wire is probably touching something. You don't want to pay anyone to do this, as this can be either a 5 minute job, or you will be charged for a complete new wiring harness. That should fix it :)
