TripageLED "third eye" (city light)

if anyone is interested in a LED city light from TripageLED www.TripageLED.com :: Home Page :: then we need to do the same thing that we did to Corbin and request it. since they dont currently make one then theres obviously no demand. they need a reason to purchase a front cowl and develop one. they said that they were gonna purchase one soon. ive already requested a "knight rider" YouTube - Repsol Knight Rider (KITT) i just e-mailed them www.TripageLED.com and asked to be on a list. if your interested in ANY city light from Tripage do the same to speed up production.

I'm pretty sure the 600rr uses the same light fixture as the J series. Why wouldn't a setup from a 600rr work on a Zzr?
i have a 9 led light from tech-toys on ebay havent had a problem with it yet,

there was a guy on here that had a light that changed colors, but i havent been able to find the thread anyone know where it is?
For you guys that have done something different with your city light, post up some pics will ya!

Give a new guy a taste of the mod life!!
haha, thats pretty freakin cool! lol I never seen no shit like that b4!! I may have to give that a try, since i took out that light cuz it didn't match my silverstars
Cool to look at, but would not be very bright I suppose. The headlights would wash it out in the daytime, but it may be visible at night.

You can order an LED replacement for the bulb at SUPER BRIGHT LEDS home I hear that the 'cool white' 5led version matches the extreme white PIAA bulbs, which is what I have.

I thought about a blue one, but the LEOs may not like that. I think that when they are all the same color the light from a distance just blends. A contrasting color would stand out more.

I want to change the gauge backlighting. I anyone has done this please post pics.

Tripageled.com is top notch. They did the LED turn signal and brake light in my passenger foot pegs. I would love to see a application for front amber LED turn signals in the front vents on the upper cowling. I think they would compliment my MOTOTECK flushlines front signals well. Jay

You did my LED turn signals and brake lights in the passenger foot pegs on my 2006 ZZR600. Had a member of the forum start a thread about requesting the production for the "third eye" aka knight rider city light for the 05-08 ZZR600. I think this is a great idea and I would be interested in purchasing one when production is finished. Another idea that I have been interested in, is having amber LED turn signals that will install into the two air vents on the upper cowling that could be spliced into the existing front LED turn signals. Giving more frontal view of turn signals. Is it possible to produce something that could be installed through the front of the air vent with a small retaining plate so the signal containing 6 to 8 amber LED's could be installed like a sandwich on the front upper cowling? If your company does decide to purchase a upper cowling for the 05-08 ZZR you will see what I'm talking about with the two air vents on either side of the upper cowling. If there is anything that I can possibly do to get the ball rolling let me know. I guess you could consider buying a used one off a wrecked 05-08 ZZR600 or possibly you have a Kawasaki dealership in your area that could possibly help you out. I think your products are top notch and I have had no issues with my LED foot peg lights. I get lots of compliments about them to this day. I had serveral of your business cards and handed them all out the other motorcycle owners that showed an interest in your great product. Keep up the good work!! Not sure if any of you newer members have seen these two short clips of the tripageled.com LED turn signals and brake lights that they can install into your passenger foot pegs.

Here's a response to my email to tripageled.com

Thank you for your interest in the mods we do. We have been on the lookout for a damaged headlight for a good amount of time now but guess we might have to purchase a new one to get the [email protected] done and get the third eye and knight rider mods done for your bikes. We will purchase a new headlight and get started on this. We will let everyone know when it's available. Thanks for the opportunity.

So now I get the name 'tripage' - as in short for Tristan Page. I thought it was some gnarly term from some movie like Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

In fact, when I hear 'tripage' I think about the stoner bus driver 'Otto' from the Simpsons. :)

'Tripage dude!' :eek:nfloor

I really like those footpeg lights. I'd like to see more about the overall installation, if it exists online anywhere. Is there another thread where you talk more about the installation and wiring? How tough was it, and how much did you do yourself?

Your welcome I've had practice with past companies.:)
Just joined!!! Great site. Will have to browse around and see everything. We have purchased a headlight and are waiting for it to arrive. We will get started on this mod and others and let you know when it's completed. Will also look into becoming a vendor. If there is someone particular we should contact please let me know.

Led pegs wiring
Wiring the pegs is just like if you bought turn signals. You have a ground and power wire. In the video I believe he has brake lights and signals. So he has a power for the brake led's, a power for the signals and a ground.
Brake wires into the stock brake wire, signals into the left or right signal power and a common ground. Pretty simple install. Will keep in touch and let everyone know how things are going. Thanks for the opportunity. T

All right, good to have you, now we can hear directly from the man himself!

Thanks for the info. I'm an elec. engineer so the wiring won't be a problem, but I was more curious about the mechanical aspects of the installation, and where the wires are run to get from the pegs to the other wires under the seat.

Also, do you provide an LED assembly that we attach to the pegs, do we send you the pegs to be modified, or do you just provide new pegs?
