Just turned 7000 miles and time for some new tires...
Anyone know what the best tires are? I've heard good things about the Michelin Pilots but have also been told that the Dunlops that came on the bike stock are just as good. Looking for a set that perform well yet will wear well also.

I'm on my 2nd set of Pirelli Diablos and I couldn't be happier with them. I know I'll be replacing them with a third set. The difference between the dunlop's and the diablo was just night and day.

How do you like to ride? I have Pilots, but I use them on the track.
A very important consideration. If you can get 7000 miles out of a set of tires, you must not be pushing it that much. Although I don't like the 208 ZR's, if you're comfortable with them then get them. No need wasting money on stickier tires like Pilot Powers, Supercorsas, etc... if you don't burn em up at the track.

Picking tires is almost like picking whores out of a porno audition... sometimes it's just about what you like.

Bro I have heard that tires like the Mitchellin's and other tires you would see on the track are a bit sliprier on starting on a ride so you really need to heat them up good. Dude I have Dunlops and they are fine.

SOMETIMES you have to get the point across... since this is text I gotta go the extra mile. :bitchslap

edit: There was an un-intended double meaning there too... ["... to die for ..." (as in the tires were so good they were unsafe) ]
