I've got a 97 YZF600. There is almost a centimeter of free play. Can this affect anything? How do I adjust it? There's nothing at the handlebars.

BTW I'm a total newb.

I have a 95 and I know they changed in the middle of 96 split year. But as of mine there is no free play at all. You can adjust it.
