I haven't rode in a few years so I don't remember if my old bike did the same thing. A friend of mine just bought a 93 (I think)GSXR 600, and it had some damage to it. We fixed most of it but I noticed that the throttle doesn't snap back when the bike io not running. Is there anything to fix this or does the cable need to be replaced?

Lube the cable first

then i would try readjusting it at the carb.

btw, on most bikes there are two cables going to the throttle. (lube both)

also check that the inside end of the grip (the part that flares out) isn't rubbing against the plastic control housing thing (the plastic box with your starter button and kill switch). The grip could look loose enough, but actually rub against the housing enough to prevent it snapping back.
