Just as my boyfriend predicted, as soon as I completed the cosmetic modifications on my '01 CBR600F4i, I got another bike. (Actually, he bought me another bike.) As much as I really hate that he was right, waiting for my new bike is simply going to kill me! I love my CBR to death and I think it is one of the most beautiful bikes ever made, but ever since I test rode the Triumph Sprint ST ABS last fall, I have been obsessed with it. So, my new bike is going to be an '06 Sprint ST ABS in Caspian Blue. It's absolutely gorgeous!! It will be sad to see the CBR go, but I suspect that once my new baby arrives, the sorrow will immediately disappear. The Sprint has all the things on it that I wish my CBR had. (Plus, it's freakin' awesome!) I'm looking forward to taking very long trips and doing some camping with the bike. The sucky part will be waiting for it to be delivered from FL. Oh, the anticipation!!!

(If anyone is interested in an '01 CBR600F4i, please let me know. It is silver and black and has a hair over 7500 miles on it. It is in fabulous running condition. We are asking $4500.)

Congrats, I love the Sprint ST, really nice bike. I thought you were checking out a Daytona 675 though?

Yea, camping trips on a bike are great. Just something about heading out for a weekend with only what you can carry on your back. Wake up in the morning, climb out of a tent and see your bike right there... gotta love it.

I was honestly thinking about making it my next bike, but after much consideration of the type of riding I've been doing and the future rides (and trips) I want to take, the Sprint ST was the most logical choice. The 675 would've been pretty uncomfortable on long rides. The way I see it, I'm really going to have the best of both worlds: a high performance bike that is extremely comfortable, plus the safety of ABS brakes. I'm not really into doing any racing or lots of track days. Otherwise, I certainly would've chosen the 675. (What an amazing bike!!) Also, the nerd in me thinks it'll be cool to have the hard bags and do a week's worth of grocery shopping with the bike, too. :)

I like the way you think! :D ...Though I'm still not a fan of abs :twofinger

Great choice of bike! Enjoy the hell out of it!

'01 Honda CBR600F4i for sale $4500. Bike is in fabulous condition with 7536 miles and has been maintained by local Honda dealer. Modifications are: carbon fiber look covered seats, Clear Alternatives integrated LED taillight/turn signals, Shock LED mini front markers in chrome, Tapeworks silver rimstripes on wheels, and decal change (same Honda wings minus the F4i logo - I just liked the look better). If interested, please PM me. First $500 deposit takes this bike. Must be paid in full and picked up within four weeks.

You'll probably hate hearing this because you have a new one, but we're getting rid of our '02 VFR800, too. My boyfriend is also getting an '06 Sprint ST ABS - only in silver. He likes the performance of the Sprint ST because of the b***** engine. Plus, he's bothered by the lurching of the V-tec when it kicks in on him. If Honda makes the VFR next year in a b***** non-V-tec engine, I know he'll buy it.

I would love to pick up a 600, and if I did it'd probably be a 675, but like you, I'm just not sure it'd fit my riding style. I commute about 150 miles to work and home (twice a week), and I tend to go on longer trips, upwards of 800 to 1000 miles, during the summer months. I would imagine the Sprint is a lot like the Busa, in that it straddles the line between sport and touring so well that it's hard to justify the $$ for a dedicated bike on either side. Plus, I just bought a house, so any new bikes are a ways off...

Well, good luck with the new set 'a wheels. The only thing better than that new car smell, is that new bike smell!!

Lovely bikes, Sprint ST's :) ...had a test ride on one last September and loved it.

..and it'll spank that vfr vtec as well.

Sprint is almost certainly my next bike, but I'd want to keep the 929 as well. :)
I did my test ride last September, too and that's when I fell in love. Right now we have 6 bikes in the garage (4 are rideable and 2 are restoration projects). It's a little too crowded and it's getting expensive insuring all of them when we can only ride 2 at a time anyway. I'm sure by next year we'll have 1 or 2 more. :)

You're 3 weeks too late in telling me this, dammit! :eek:nfloor

Sounds great. You two will match. Have any long trips planned?

I dunno about THAT... I'm in love with the V4, myself. Nothing else feels or sounds quite like it.
