Found this on my local ladies forum. Not sure how much it translates to the real world, but it was a fun test.

HEL Performance Reaction Timer

Average Time Metres Covered Before Braking (@ 70mph)
0.10 seconds 3.11 metres
0.20 seconds 6.22 metres
0.30 seconds 9.33 metres
0.40 seconds 12.44 metres
0.50 seconds 15.55 metres
0.60 seconds 18.66 metres
0.70 seconds 21.77 metres
0.80 seconds 24.88 metres
0.90 seconds 28.00 metres
1.00 seconds 31.11 metres

My times: (just woke up, one cup of coffee...

)

Reaction Time 1 - 0.375
Reaction Time 2 - 0.296
Reaction Time 3 - 0.39
Reaction Time 4 - 0.312
Reaction Time 5 - 0.297
Total Time - 1.67
Average Time - 0.33399999999999996

My times:
Reaction Time 1 - 0.75
Reaction Time 2 - 0.328
Reaction Time 3 - 0.297
Reaction Time 4 - 0.297
Reaction Time 5 - 0.312

Total Time - 1.984
Average Time - 0.3968

Slower than you AC but not too shabby after workin the overnight shift and still being awake at 8:35am

Here are my times.. That's a pretty cool test, I did it a second time and it was much better the second time around. They hit the brakes faster the second time around..

That's still pretty quick, Lownuff - esp after working all night! If I did that, my times would be much slower. :lol

yeah i suppose it's not that bad.. i'll take it again the next time i'm drunk ... strictly for testing purposes of course... eh hem.

First try on this, after working 16 hours yesterday and one cup of coffee:

Reaction Time 2 0.312
Reaction Time 3 0.469 (Damn that one came too fast after I hit start)
Reaction Time 4 0.313
Reaction Time 5 0.329
Total Time 1.766
Average Time 0.3532

My average was .26, but I cheated. After hitting the ignition, click and hold the brake, then release when it says to hit the brake. Viola! Instant low time.
