Well today we had the first day of class and track time. I am not going to give too much away because there will be a big write about it in the next few days (along with pictures and maybe a video from my helmet camera :D). I was very impressed by the level of instruction and knowledge that was covered just in today's session. This is a top notch facility with a top notch staff!! :dblthumb

I was also very impressed with the 2006 GSXR 600!! All I can say is WOW!!! This bike is light, quick, high revving, controllable and DAMN, that slipper clutch is sweet. Flying around Road Atlanta on this thing is nice to say the least. We didn't run or set any AMA or Moto GP time records (actually there is no clock on us) but we ran what I thought was pretty quick (that is until Kevin hopped on a GSXR 1000 and tore the track up!!).

Keep checking back folks as I will add the article and all the goodies when I get back and do the work thing :D

Awesome Will...can't wait to see all the photos and hopefully video

Thanks bro! :beer Diana ran the cameras today and wasn't sure where she could and couldn't go so not a lot of usable footage....nice pics though! I am going to try and run 1 session of video (probably the 2nd or 3rd session of tomorrow) and then turn the camera over to Diana and she knows where she can go film at now.

This what the track looks like but it doesn't show a lot of detail of the track's up and down elevations (and there are a lot of them) :D

They really screwed that track up when they took the gravity cavity out. It was wfo all the way down the back strech into the cavity and it was hard to keep your head up from the g's, head up hill and then under the bridge and wheelie all the way down. Oh and go slap Kevin :bitchslap and tell him to get a real job. :cheers

Power out of turn 10B just right and you can still go under the bridge and raise the nose a "little" :devil Now it is a short shift to 3rd coming out of the chicane (10A and 10B) shoot over the top and tap it into 4th and get ready for that long turn 12. They also moved the wall back a little for 12. The Esses are pretty fun and turn 6 & 7 are great to "play" in :devil Gotta watch out for the damn ground hogs though.....2 crossed in front of us today.

:eek:nfloor bro I wished I had that job!!!

Lucky bastard! :lol

Tell Kevin 'hi' for me. But tell him not to call me so much. I'm sick of giving him pointers. :D

:eek:nfloor

Man it was a wild assed ride!!! What is wild is when an instructor comes by and picks you up from the group you are riding in and wants you to follow his line......and follow it FAST!!! A few times they cut me loose to run and worked with some others that were having problems.......that really made ya wake up a little :lao

From a lay person's point of view everything was very exciting. I think the most exciting moments were when the instructors let loose on the track and when I got to finally see Kevin S. ride, or maybe I should say streak, by. Great weather, everyone looked like they had an awesome time. I know Officer had a permanent smile painted on his face! :D
