o0o...

I can't tell the difference...

I know I can't power wheelie a gs500... It isn't possible... Of course you can clutch one though...

But a sv650 might be capable... With like 25 extra horses...

Yes you can power it up in 1st gear but only in 1st. a 650 has 1 exhaust a 1000 has 2. You can also power up a gs500 if you bounce the front end, I used to have a 2000.
Here is a pic of me doing a power wheelie, only thing is you have to be going around 35 so you can get it up.

Here's mine. I bought it new in the summer of '04. Stepped up from a Katana 750. Since I've had this one it's been nothing but good times, with a few tickets in-between. It has Devil exhaust, PCIII usb, K&N, Mirror extenders, Lowers, Sliders, Hotbodies undertail. This V-twin is a little tempermental with all the mods (airbox backfires), but it is about to be fix w/ a PAIR removal kit. Let me know what you think.

2001 Sv650s :d

Some pics of my baby, the pics are from my first ride from school to my parents house the first week I bought it. Some guy had it 5 years and only put 3500 mi on it, so needless to say I have been giving the poor baby some attention! I've had it about 2 months and all I can say is wow. (I had a Honda Nighthawk 250 for a year before this one, so the travel home was much easier.) I've read some bad things about the suspension and about lowering the bike, so I guess I'm glad I'm small and I'll just tough out the navigation on foot.

Hey guys, sorry for lifting pics, but i was just lurking this thread and thought to myself, "I love the SV 650, and one day i might want to get the fairing upgrades, but damned if (in my opinion) that styling doesn't look absolutely retarded!"

So i had a little (sloppy) photoshop fun, and just cut down the headlamp size which is what i couldn't stand. BTW, I'm a big fan of the new CBR RR fairing if you couldn't tell. Anyway, I thought some of you might appreciate the results. with some creative fiberglass or even just vinyl work, this or something like it could be achieved. but then again it seems you folks are already pretty big fans of the fairing's styling, so take it as you will.

-edit-
Oh yeah I also wanted to see what the naked would look like [approximately] with lower fairing... kind of crazy, kind of cool

the headlights on the S are about the only thing i dont like about the styling.
if you look at the bike head on its ugly as hell. any other angle it looks sweet though. i like what you did with the headlights.

I'm a fan of the two bug-eyed headlights, mostly b/c two are always on and you don't get the "hey you have a light out" while you're in traffic.

All very cool looking bikes. I love what you people have done to your SVs. I'm still riding a stock one myself. Welcome to SBN to all you first timers.
