has anyone taken theres off to see how much it could be modified. More so the sub-frame is there mostly for the seat support?

reason I am asking is I am thining about taking it off and shortening it by several inches and then redo the seat so that I have the passanger part completly cut off.

That would definitly be interesting, and new as well. The exhaust hangs from there as well as the plate and blinker assembly, at least on the Two brothers exhaust.

I would redo the license plate, blinkers, and exhaust.
I am thinking of going the way of all those wild and werid, german street fighters.

I've taken it off.... I took mine off to put a new one on it after a car squashed the backend against a parking lot bollister. I've got a picture somewhere on my puter at home... I'll post it - BUT I was considering some of that when I was goofing around with it... and I think that for the most part - it'd be doable. You would have to consider the things already mentioned, but other than that... hmmmm... I painted the new one black... so now I have a black subframe.
