How do I change my speedometer cable on a 1998 YZF 600R. If you need any more info let me know and I will try to get it for you.

Go to the base of the speedometer and unscrew the cable, follow it down and unscrew the cable from where it mounts too... Don't lose the pin within the cable..
Not 100% sure about your bike but that's the normal scenario on older bikes..
