Ok, I was trying to check/clean spark plugs. It seemed that they were a 16MM. I used a deepsocket and extension, but that alone was almost not small enough to get in the well. Second, The Plug wouldnt grip the socket, so I couldnt get it out.

Any help on getting to these things, where and what are the tools to do this?

Thank you,

yeah, when i did my plugs on my gixxer, no regular spark plug socket will work. I took the sockett I had to autozone and compared to the ones they had and bought the smallest (diameter) i could find..

So are the plugs actually 16mm? Is the problem just that the 16mm socket is just too damn fat to fit in the head? If so, get a thinner one. Had to do that for my ninja. A regular socket is a bit thinner than the "spark plug" socket, though it doesn't have the nice rubber cussion. Had to use a magnet to get it out of the hole.

Oh, Sorry I didnt make it clear. It's too High I think is the problem. I think I can solve that problem by visitng a few stores to find a shorter extention or something. But, what about the actually removal of the plug. With 16mm I am able to have it all loose but not able to pull it out.

I just use the socket in my factory tool kit.

If your using a regular socket, cut a piece of rubber heater hose and put it in the socket. That will grip the plug and pull it out with the socket.

Or you can just loosen the plug with your socket and use a peice of fuel line to actually remove it from the hole (ie leave the loosened plug in the threads and push the fuel line over the insolator and unthread the remaining turns till removal). This makes it easy especially if the plug is buried behind sh*t. This also works well with installation. Just find the right size/length fuel line that fits snug over the insolator and is easy to hold on to while using. Good Luck!
