hmm, well I normally like the zx6r, I don't care for that one too much, might be the year, or maybe that color, lol.
Plus, the zx6r is an inline four, and I thought you guys were telling me to stick with a twin?

I'm liking the looks of the sv650s, and don't care for the ninja 500's, to old of styling. But if I went for the 500 range, I would probably see about the early-mid 2000 model of a Buell Blast. Those look pretty nice and reasonably priced.

Plus this eBay seller has EXCELLENT feedback, so I feel confidant the bike will be like they say, but it's true that it might not have been taken care of and run as good as expected.

decisions, decision.... the sv650s will be in the cheaper range of insurance for me, as opposed to the zx6r, which is over $500 a year more for the same coverage (full coverage of course).

I have to decided a yes or no on the suzuki by tomorrow afternoon... but I'll keep looking until then. thanks for all the help and input guys! I just hope I get the one I'll be happy with!

Ok, after thinking a lot of thing. Out, I'm gonna find one local. I'm pretty sure the Suzuki woul be a great bike, but on that chance that it's not, and it hasn't
been taken care of, I don't want to spend $2000 on junk. So I'll just spend a little more or something local.

I think I'll see about that FZ6 I mentioned a few days ago. Gonna search Craigslist again for now tho.

Thanks for all the help!!

Glad to hear you bike is back together Jim!

And thanks for the postings, I found a few tonight also, Im gonna go back through them
and pick out the best ones and probably post them here for opinions. I'll keep the two sv's in mind also. Would prefer the sv650s, but it's not like it's gonna be my last bike, I think reliability is my biggest concern now.

i agree tiger. it may be cheep but thats not all ways a good thing. you should look around local. there are bikes for sale every day in the paper. bikes sales are very slow right now and you should be able to get a good deal on a new ninja 500 from sappingtons. you haven't road over 100 miles at one time so why get a bike with a lot of power when you really only need a mid range bike that will last you for about 2 years. the 500 is a very good all around bike for a beginer rider. hell i know guys who have been rideing for years that can out corner me and i have a 1400cc bike. it's the rider and the bike. you need both to be good.
Well I would prefer something other than the ninja 500, I can't finance a bike. I don't have a credit history, and I've only been working at my current job for 9 months now. So no banks, or dealerships will look at me without a cosigner. Which I don't have.

But thanks for the help, I'll pass on the bike in WI, since I can't see it before and look for something local.

call and jew him down this is close and looks good.
***2000 Kawasaki ZX6R****
I was going to suggest Craig's List. That is the best place to find a bike locally. I would check in St Louis and Memphis. Both close enough that you could go check out a potential bike.

The economy sucks and when that happens, folks get desperate for cash. When you have a bike sitting in the garage and you need to make your house payment, the bike is going to go. Keep that in mind when negotiating prices with someone. You have the upper hand if you have the cash.

Thanks, I'll keep searching Craigslist. I've been looking around Springfield and Jonesboro area also, those are pretty close to me also. Since I'm about 30 mins south of the bluff.

it's about the same as we are being that bluff is 30 min or more from piedmount. wappapello has some sweet roads. they just tend to have gravel and sticks in the roads.

Ok, no Buell blast, lol.
I'm thinking about that 05 fz6.
If not, I'm considering a '99 gsx-r 600, '05 yzf 600r, or '01 r6.

Really leaning to the fz6 tho :)

and I didn't know the roads around piedmont were so nice, I never go around there. And I used to go to wappapello before I got my bike, I agree that the roads are nice there, haven't been on my bike there yet tho.

I've actually been on a few rides in the 40-50? mile range, didn't check, lol. but that's nothing to brag about. I haven't rode to far away from the house yet because I'm only on a little 200cc Chinese bike.

As soon as I get my new one, I'll be racking up miles quick I'm sure! Lol

and yeah, piedmont is about an hour away, but that's not as far as cape for
me. Lol

Iroc and jimbo? Your gsxr and sv650 looks small in that first pic next to gleny's new concours! Lol. I think Its mostly the distance and angle that makes yours seem smaller than they really are.

What you didn't see was my Vulcan up next to the other bikes. It is a damn tank.

Danny forgot to wear his t-shirt, shorts and flip-flops on the ride. He would have looked a lot better in my opinion. :gsxr
