See, though the bad thing is that he left taking the bike with him and ACCEPTING the free filter and $100 credit. He should have stayed at the shop, not accept the bike back, or hte offer of the shop and called the police to make ar eport while he was there; and then make a call to the Ducati manufacturer at that point to file a complaint, or get infomration.
By leaving with his bike and the "compensation" he pretty much agreed that "its done".
He can get a lwayer, but he wont have much t ofight because when they bring it, the judge is gonna ask if they offered anything to compensate, and he will have to say yes. The judge may determine that the compensation isn't worth the value of the abuse, and may offer some "cash reward" for what HE thinks is worth on the damage itself, but are you gonna be lucky to get a judge that undesrtands the workings of a $20,000 motorcycle?
