Almost forgot to post this...

When I installed my Power Commander, I got more "intimate" with my tank than when I take my seat off after washing. I noticed that the welds where the tank pivots up (near the seat front) have some rust on them. The paint is not missing, and I always dry off underneath the seat (after washing). Seems like a factory defect I'll be taking to the dealer, as this is not good. Climate here has mild humidity, but not like some of you east coasters :)

Curious if anyone else has seen/checked for this?

It is not happening to my tank, and I have had the darn thing off almost weekly with the various mods I have been doing.

Thanks, for the heads up though.

They damn well better!! Obviously if enough of them show up, it's a manufacturing defect. Regardless, there's no reason a low mileage/hours bike should show this aside from being bathed in acid.
