Today was the first day of classes and i took a walk by the "bike" section and only saw 2 sport bikes, and 8 cruisers... i was a lil disappointed by the turnout, i thought there'd be more.... i didnt expect there to be more cruisers than sport bikes

Its the same here. Usually a couple cruisers/tourers, and every once in a while a R6 or Gixxer. Last year 5 motorcycles got stolen in broad daylight. 929RR, Gixxer, R6, and a couple other squidly bikes. They picked them up and threw them into the back of trucks or vans. I got lucky, my bike was too heavy to steal haha.

Well a few reasons you saw more cruisers then sportbikes is #1 used cruisers are cheaper then used sportbikes 99.9% of the time #2 Insurance for sportbikes, guys or gals your age, is pretty expensive, regardless of type and model. Alot of college students don't even own cars let alone bikes.

Where i parked at school there was a dropped turbo busa, a honda eleite (sp?) (Moped), a yamaha Radian, a ZX-6r, another cruiser, and my bike. The worst part was that they don't know how to part in the area. they left too much room between bikes and i had to park partially in a handicap spot. but they'll learn. :twofinger

I always take my bike the first day of classes if weather permits.

There are always freshman who have their vehicles that they used to bring their stuff parked in the wrong places, so the motorcycle allows me the flexibility to park in more places. I would say the ratio of sportbikes to crusiers is 50-50.

Just as bad at ASU. The girls here wear almost nothing to school during the first week

Going to class is dangerous though, there are so many dang girls walking around that it is hard to concentrate on my riding. :D

haha I second that!! I rode my bike to school today. Parked next to a R1, F4, ?F2?, Kawi 500, and the cleanest one, not joking this thing was polished, Cherry Red scooter. Overall was a good turn out. Even though it poured like crazy! But since I'm at school 8am - 9pm Im hoping the roads will be ok by the time I leave. BTW Im at USF.
