I'll be heading out to the Barber Museum up in Birmingham next week, and maybe check out some backroads too. I'll likely stay overnight, check out Barber, then head out that afternoon to GA. What kind of weather can I expect, other than hot? Are the nights cold (under 60* factoring in wind chill)? Should I even bother taking longjohns?

I normally ride with a perforated jacket, leather gloves, and jeans. Should be OK, no?

You'll be fine. I rode with my perforated jacket, gloves, and jeans during the day yesterday. The lows are like mid 70's, but it's humid. You should be just fine. The highs have been in the mid 90's so keep that in mind.
