OK, only a fool like me would go out in the shitty weather we had this morning (at least in Miami), but how many of you braved the rain and took the bike out on Ride To Work Day?

I didn't see a single bike out there, and I have to cross four cities to get to work (Miami, Hialeah, Opa-Locka, Miami Lakes). Maybe a scooter escaped my observation.... So sad. Oh well.

OT, the rain seems to have been more a of a Dade thing, I guess. I woke up to the sound of one helluva a thunderstorm. But I'm also stuck in a windowless warehouse, if it makes you feel any better - the only time we see the outside world is when the big bay doors are opened for a delivery :rolleyes

Yup, it was, but the rain stopped around 10ish ~ 11am. The bikes were already dried up by 12pm.

However, I have this little story.

Every day for the past few months, I pass on my hour-long commute (on the opposite side of the highway) my dream bike. The guy must be going to work, even though he's always wearing shorts. I pass him in the a.m., and I pass him in the p.m.

Yet, today, which is the most beautiful of all days of the muggiest shitass weathered summer here in PA, no dream bike rider. Actually, I haven't seem him all week.

So, technically, the bike I'm always picturing myself riding, didn't get ridden to work today either. :cry
