This was the first time since I've had the bike that I didn't make it over to Leland. Too crappy of a day to bring the baby out there. Oh well there is alway's next spring.

I did see a lot of bikes on Hwy 12 in Baraboo at the BP(330pm or so) as I was headed home, were any of you in that group?!?!?!

I'll be there on an unconventional route...to Leland via La Farge
So, did you make it? We got there a little after 2pm (later than planned) and the place thinned out fast by 3pm.

That explains why I didn't see the two and a half of you there. It was a good day of riding, but I wouldn't take a wee one out in it.

We never made it. For some reason or another, the guys at work decided to make it our 1st Annual Chicken Run the same day as the Crud Run. We went to the Rockton Bar & Grill in LaFarge for their "Almost" World Famous BBQ Chicken. LaFarge is about 60 miles north of Leland. We actually passed by CR-C and CR-B in the vicinity of Leland around 11:30am.

After lunch, instead of heading to Leland, we decided to do some additional riding...for instance we went to Wildcat Moutain. We weren't done with lunch until 1:30pm or so. We then shot the shit outside while we were trying to come up with a route home...we kind of broke up into groups to do our own thing to get home after Wildcat Mountain. I found out after-the-fact yesterday that two of the guys did break off and head to Leland. I guess they didn't get there until real late, but my friend Dennis got pictures of Peter Egan and Randy Abendroth.

Don't get me wrong, I would've chosen to go to Leland for the Crud Run instead if it was anything else other than a work "outting". There were 12 of us...my 600RR, a BMW K1200, a Yamaha Warrior, and 9 Harleys. Believe it or not, two of the Harleys in the group were fast enough that I wasn't bored to death. The three of us took off while always waiting for the rest of the group at intersections and turns.

All in all it was a good day...it would've been a lot nicer if we hadn't hit rain pocket after rain pocket and if there was at least a little bit of sun.

If it's any consolation, I was there. :)
