My Personal Bike

Here's a favorite shot of my personal bike. The specs are as follows:

Performance tuned 555 cc big bore motor with GHN trans and primary gears, offset bored carbs, Lance Gamma Tripod filter kit and Tommy Crawford pipes. Performance is brisk (out of hundreds of RG500's, the best performer I have seen or ridden). Chassis mods include Race Tech Emulators and modded stock springs, AD block off's, LG fork brace, 20 mm front and rear axle conversions, 290 mm EBC rotors and 6 piston calipers, braced stock swingarm, Wilbers shock, LG adjustable ride height strut, Marvic wheels in 5" rear and 3.5" front with Pilot Powers in 120/65 and 170/60/17, 520 chain.

I think the coolest thing about this bike is that it has been ridden by over 400 Gamma owners or prospective owners over the years and has always made a strong impression. If any of you who are reading this post recall taking this particular Gamma for a spin, please confirm and share a little bit about your experience with my RG.

Total kms on this bike so far, 127,000km.

RG, recently tuned and bored to 550 by Bob Farnham. Lance filters, Nova box, carbs bored by Mark Dent, GSXR400 wheels, forks and brakes, RGV250 fairing and rear hugger. I've owned since it was a year old.

I've had this about ten years, I dyno'd it about 6 years ago at 98.xx hp, fox shock, ride height adjuster, race tech gold valves(nice work Rick), Lance filter kit, Jolly Moto GP's, Raask rearsets, mph clock, rgv250 upper(rf headlight), katana 3" front rim/rotors,'88 gsxr calipers, bandit 400 rear 4" rim, one re-ring at standard bore, battery relocate and pro-flo clip-ons. I think thats it, until i can fit this carbon covered banana swingarm, The linkage is a nightmare! And I don't want to cut on the frame. Any ideas?

Well, own this one since 2001. PVM 3 and 3,5 classic 3-spoke rims powdercoated, 120/80-16 and 150/70-18 tires using CompK as long as possible :bowdown, steel braded Spiegler front brake hoses, LSL adjustable steering damper, MRA screen, big and heavy stainless steel handle bar ends, ride height adjuster and carbon fibre rotaries with 8° more opening by Gammakarl from Austria, JollyMotoStreet, just removed the intake rubber and running stock 120' main jets with needle at highest position, Mark Drysdale shiftshaft support plate and clutch shim from Karl in California, 14:40 sprocket ratio :twofinger , interchangable solo seat, sigma digital speedo, Koso digital rev meter ... around 44000km on the clock, owning since 16500km.

Cheers

P.S.:
'The hell is wrong with the board setup, just allowed to upload pics to a sum of 1MB ? I first thought, it is for each pic ... I'm compressing and compressing and compressing, but will not accept ... I'm now at 3% at a 108KB pic :angry and noo pics from me in the future! I don't accept to walk to a file sharing something to use thousand of clicks and waiting for free upload to get the next one up to ... !

Carsten,
Are you clicking on the "manage attachments" button inside the attach files
box. Next you should be able to browse your hard drive for pics ?
The pic I just posted of your bike is 206kb, and looks ok. I did not resize
it in any way from when you sent it to me a lomg time age.

hope this helps:dunno

Hm,

not at home at the moment, so can't check.
But I tried this first also with the big file, but I already posted pics in other Threads here at the Gamma forum and it seems, as if the sum of all these can only be 1MB.
Who knows ...

Cool bike, ehh? :smokin

Yesterday evening went out for a short ride and hey, she rocks the hell! :headbang
Cooling down summer evening country road, Jollys and 8°-rotaries and 14:40 ratio, you know what I mean? The road was on f... :devil
Always fun to reach a convertable, then one or two gears down and "ACTION" , sometimes greeting with the front wheel :biggrinag
I saw, the cops had to much to do on their regular inofficial cross stand with the dealers trying to pass from Amsterdam I reckon, so just a short distance to stay at idle. :twofinger

Cheers

If that's the RG that used to be black / orange, I've ridden it.
Yes it's fast, handles well, feels tight and all.
To me, to most amazing thing about this bike is it's ability to be
rolling steady speed in 6th, at 45mph. Then roll on the gas, and away it goes!
No down gearing, no blubbering, no drama at all. :bowdown

thats the nature of the big bore motor, torque and great midrange prior to the fury of when the bike comes on the pipe. Rick's bike had big compression and along with the close ratio tranny, modern suspension and brakes, the bike is really an incredible ride..I guess thats why I had him build me one...hehehe
