Anyone think this is a bad idea. Ive been finding some pretty good deals. The only thing bad is Ill probly spend a lot of time tryin to find the right situation as its an auction so the highest bidder gets it. Ive gotta figure within the next year I will find my deal.

The only thing i would worry about is the title. if your looking for a stunt bike, then it might be a good deal. unless it has an insurable title, I wouldn't mess with it.

As for the typical condition of recovered bikes, im clueless. If it was recovered i would think it would be found in a ditch. But if you catch an auction on the right day, you might walk away with a steal....

no pun intended

i would be worried about the dude who used to own it seeing you riding it and kicking your ass lol

:eek:nfloor :eek:nfloor

wouldn't that suck, your just riding around, stop to get a cheeseburger, and some dude comes up on ya tryin to fight.

i dont know why i though recovered/stolen. repo'd bikes should come with all paperwork, at least i would hope so

Where are you finding these deals? I'll be back in detroit all summer... So if you want, i'll go with you and help you out. I love to hang out at stuff like that.

That, and i have a very good working knowledge of fixing wrecked bikes (i've done two so far) and how much bikes go for on the open market.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TAKE ME WITH YOU!!!!

Heck, I had a friend whos brother bought this really nice SUV some police got in a drug bust. It was excellent condition and had a bunch of stuff added to it. Had a lot of secret hiding places for stuff the owner didn't want to be found... Well when the old owner got out of jail, be bought his SUV back for 3 times what my friends brother paid for it... So you never know.

My local bank puts repo bikes in their main branch lobby. If the bike has been repo than it has a loan at that financial institution so they would have the title...Just call banks and ask for the repo dept and inquire about bikes...In my area most are cruiser style...most sportbikes end up in the junkyard and to buy an insurance claim (wrecked) bike you will have to have a lis to buy and sell motor vehicles...good luck
