Bike started popping out of 2nd. I called the mech and he said its the forks. $800 to fix.


That is all.

Not THAT hard to fix yourself, but not for the faint of heart either. This is pretty much what you'd have to do:

You don't have to tear down the top end to do it, but considering the engine is out it is quite convenient to check the valve lash.

OR

You could get a complete engine for say, $500 and just swap it in:

An engine swap seems daunting, but it's quite easy.

Thats some good looking out! Honestly, I'd be more comfortable swapping motors haha
