Season over for me, may be done for good

Not a motorcycle accident, but a car accident... 2 weeks ago. I have "multiple" compression fractures in my thoracic spine. For sure T7/T8, but following an MRI last week, they said there are more. I meet with the specialist Wednesday to discuss treatment options, but I'm probably selling my bike.... If I get another one, it will likely be a more upright ST rig or something, but I may be done for good, depending how treatment goes.

I'll still hang around... I'll miss riding, but my b***** concern is my second career as a bass player. Having a 10 pound weight around my neck for 4 hours a night on weekends isn't going to be helpful and I may end up selling my bass guitars and getting one of these instead - Omni Bass - the pictures all show them on a strap, but they also make a tripod stand which is optional. I've been wanting to try one out anyway, but this is pushing me that direction.

Sorry to hear about the wreck. Follow therapy to the letter...you'd be surprised what they can do for you.

Keep your head up and work hard. I wasn't sure I'd ever walk right again and I can now, just running hasn't returned as I liked. I'll be pulling for you.

i hope your recovery and treatment go smoothly for you bro and you don't have to give up anything.

Good luck to you, sir. I hope it all works out well in the end. Modern medicine can do a lot; take full advantage of it.
You're still pretty young, and AFAIK in good general health. I'd expect you can heal well.

My roommate broke his neck and was in a halo for a few months and now he's back to riding. My dad broke his feamur and he just bought his bike.

Point im making is like everyone has said modern medicine is awesome.

Best of luck to you. Heal well brother.

Good luck to you. I hope you can find a way to continue riding and playing. My m/c accident left me unable to run and I walk with a slight limp, but luckily I'm still able to ride. Honestly dont know what I'd do if that were taken away from me.

BTW I know shit about guitars but that Omni Bass looks bad ass, go get it.:)
