Soo after I fix my truck and sell it im looking to spend a piece of the money on a POS 1k or less beater car to trash to all hell... Problem is im not having any luck coming up with a RWD 4 banger american or import doesnt matter.

It just has to be Manual, RWD and cheap as hell... Im bassiclly just going to learn manual in a car on it and then rally and rip the hell out of it! If it survives 3 months(which I doubt) I'm going to sell it and get whatever Cash I can get back but if Its Found On Road(Side) Dead :)lao) then thats not a big deal either, I just can't think of any RWD old cars..all the hondas I was thinking of are FWD :rolleyes ...

All suggestions welcome, Thanks!

Nissan 240SX
Any old Nissan Z car, 240, 280, 300 Z
Maybe an old Rotary Mazda like an RX-7 or RX 3, although the RX-3's were the 70's and might be hard to find
Older Mk 2 or 3 Toyota Supra, I had a Mk 3 Twin Turbo in Japan and it was an awsome car, a little heavy but handled great.

Im not sure the prices you could find for these but your best bet would probly be a 88-90 240SX or an older 240-280Z as far as least expensive and those 240SX are bad ass, even better if they have a SR-20 convertion cause the KA24 is a shitty motor

^---- beat me to it... we had the same ideas, though. Nissan is the way to go.

And the ka24 does NOT suck when done properly. Stock it's not terrible, either. There's many worse things out there....

nissan. 300zx from the 80's. 200sx and 240sx from the late 80's, early 90's. All rwd. The 300zx is a six cylinder, but i know people that have gotten them at auctions for like 500 bucks. Like a nice 85 turbo, too. Fun little car.

Other than that... not too much in that variety. Toyota corona fits the bill. Old porsche 944 (they CAN be had cheap, believe it or not) some old rx7's can be found cheap. Or the non turbo toyota supra's from the 80's. There's a few more, i'm sure. That's just what i thought of off hand.

Basically, all the ugly old boxy imports that you wouldnt want to be seen in. All rwd. Go figure.

not rwd, but some friends of mine had a Geo Storm rally car. Said it was one of the most underrated rally cars ever. Same as the Isuzu Impulse, which may have had awd, not sure. They rolled it at 60mph, tho.

I cant believe I forgot the good ol 80's toyota corolla....commonly knows as the AE-86 or Hachi Roku. GREAT car, cult like following, espc. in Japan. Its a little underpowered but light as all get out. Very fun to drift and cheap cheap cheap. Plus I know for a fact that with a little work a Turbo 3 rotor Mazda will shoe horn into it.... :banana talk about a wicked Pwr to weight ratio.....

The KA might not be so bad but for best bang for the buck it is really hard to beat the SR20DET, that little motor just loves to be hopped up and run hard.

And the cars listed arent all ugly, boxy maybe but they have character....come on now :cheers

85-87 corolla GTS ("hachi" or coupe) both awesome cars for rally /playtime/drifting...
86-89 Mr2's, esp. Supercharged. Would hate to see any of these run into the ground though, I love em all and have owned/modded em all.

You ain't seen my MR2 Super charged yet. 1.6 liters of pure mid 13s fury. Very streetable and great on gas gettin 26mpg average. Bypass the wastegate and run 14lbs of boost and your not gettin touched. Very cheap to get car down that fast. Under 600 bucks for all parts off e-bay and 1500 for car. Not good to start on though as it will snap over steer if you lift your foot off the gas mid corner. For a first time RWD car i would go with the 240 as they hold their value and are good daily drivers as they got decent torque and aren't peaky.

I second the Volvo idea, sometimes you can get a limited-slip rear differential if you look.

I bought a 1983 BMW 528e (4-door) for $1000 last November. RWD, sunroof, 2.7L inline 6. The air even still works. Paint blows.

Defiently not my first RWD vehicle, all the cars except the during my permit and first day out with my license have all been RWD.... I have no problems getting loose and having some fun :lol

The Volvos! :3eek those are some heavy mofos!(for 110hp car compared to the lightness of the others)

So yeah it pretty much looks like im looking for a 1980 vehicles. Can't wait, :cheers

Thanks.
