So....I got tired of looking for this thread in Search so I just wanted to make my own and add my own preferences to it.

What would you guys recommend?
1. I want good breath ability (I think that is a word) because it gets hot down here.
2. I want good maneuverability without taking away protection.
3. I want a decent price but don't mind paying more for the stuff I want. Especially if the protection is there.
4. Brand type is not specific but I want every ones opinion on what not to get so that I can weight my options.
5. One piece or Two. I don't mind but I do want them to be track approved.
6. Any sponsors on here wanna give me a good deal.....

Thanks for your help.

First you gotta give us a price range to work with.
There are so many suits out there to choose from in all price ranges.
But remeber you get what you pay for.

Second make it a 1pc. if you want to hit the track too.

1. Fully Perforated
2. Fits right
3. People have differnet opinions on best brands.
4. What fits, different brands fit differently and when it comes to a leather suite you will notice big time.
5. One piece, I got a two piece so I can use the jacket for commuting non highway.
6. LOL

If money isn't an issue you can probally get a custom suite for just a tad over a grand.

Have you seen any suits that you like?
Any particular mfg you prefer?

Give us something to work with and you'll get a good response.

Price nothing to much over a grand. Maybe nothing over 900 but like you said you get what you pay for.

I like this one but I didn't really look for the price. http://www.motogpapparel.com/mgpweb.nsf/Products/22A622ABF2A1ADC0862570BB005EDE4F?opendocument I like the Red. Someone on another thread mentioned a back protector. Is this necessary with the wedge on the back.

This is my first suit so the MFG is up in the air but I would definatly go by some of your experiences and make my own judgement.

First off, that Alpinestar deal is pretty sweet.

Second, for street riding a 2 piece is much _much_ nicer. You're in TX so you'll have to deal with hot day riding. When you stop, being able to take off the jacket is going to make your life alot easier. Need to use the restroom? Again, having a 2 piece is easier.

For most tracks you'll need a full circumference zipper to have the suit be 'track approved' but check with your local tracks.

Leather suits have to fit just right, so I'd really recommend trying to find a good local store that can help you with the sizing and fit to ensure that the suit will be good for you. On that topic, different manufacturers have different fits. My Technic Speedstar is a size larger than I'd wear in say a Spyke suite.

I'd also suggest that trying to get a single piece of gear will not suit all environments. I ended up with 3 sets of gear: Nylon gear for commuting to work (I can wear work cloths underneath), a full leather suit for hard riding, and a mesh jacket I wear with Jeans when commuting in the summer heat.

Just my $0.02 :)

I just ordered this suit in blue with Alpinestars SMX Plus vent boots and the blue
MotoGP nitrous gloves Total w/shipping was $1216.96. :D
This is from Ebay. I dont think I can post a link but if you need his info
Ill pm it to you.
And a Axio hardpack to store all my crap in.
REPOST I know.
Im in FL and I dont give a shit about the heat Ill have shorts and a towell and
water in my hardpack I can just jump in the ocean.
I need to break it in before I hit the track. Plus Ill be doing allot of track riding.
No reason for me to have more gear I would rather put that cash into engine
work, brakes,tires............
I dont have a commute so I figure might as well go with a 1pc.

And yes get a back protector.
Im about to order a Dainese Gilet Wave 3.
$275.00 shipped from the Belgium Pro-Shop.
Pro Shop price list.
http://www.dainese.be/prices/motorcycling.htm

Kneedraggers has them listed for $299.00
http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/Dainese_Gilet_Wave_3--35-DAIN05-9.html

Also you want to wear protective shorts even though these suits have some
hip protection the shorts will provide protection in other areas.
Thighs, lowest part of tail bone, more hip
Bohn makes protective shorts and Dainese makes a pair called Pro Shorts.
You can see the pro shorts on the Dainese site.
I will be going with the pro shorts they seem to be of a better design and less
like spandex shorts and more like protective underwear and they look as though
they will be cooler in the heat. And the chicks are gonna dig the little bit of
fishnet design they have on them. :D

Hope this helps

They have great suits and 20% if you are a racer. CE approved protection and they have more than just suits. Good luck on your search and buy.
