why is it so hard to register a vehicle in CA ??

I found a low milege gsxr-600 that was registered in Michigan and local dealer told me it has to be over 7500 miles to be able to be registered.
and...

I can't register bikes that are 49 state legal bike, because of emmision standards in CA.

Which state's bikes can I buy ??

Either buy a CA legal bike or get a '49 state' bike w/ 7500 miles on it. Pretty simple logic.

BTW, the CA models only lose a few HP.....nothing anyone w/o a career in WSBK(and the like) would notice anyway.

Ride the heck out of it until it has the mileage you need to register it, just a thought.

Laws allow non-CA emission vehicles to be brought into the state by a current resident only if over 7500 miles. If you buy a 49 state vehicle while living in another state then move to CA, you can bring the vehicle with you regardless of miles. Probably wouldn't let you bring a dozen in like that though. :lol
