So with the super riding weather coming up, I'm looking for some choice mods for my FZ6. I'd like to get a rear seat cowel, but I can't find one anywhere. I saw pictures of a Topline peice that looked really nice, but I can't find it for sale. Anyone know of any cowels sold in America? Thanks.

First stop needs to be the MODS section. I am not sure which other seat cowl besides the Yamaha one, and the Metisse one are sold in the US. I think you can get the Metisse one through Wildhair.

There is the TCP Aerodynamics one, which is not available in the US, but can be ordered. Could also be some others.

Thanks for your help. I actually checked the mods section and saw some examples of nice cowels, but no info on where to buy them. Is there a dealer in America that sells the Yamaha cowel? Thanks again.

When you search for them, it may help to spell it cowl, instead of cowel. You may get more results.

Any Yamaha dealer would be able to get you the Yamaha seat cowl. If you don't have one near you, you can also order it on-line from many dealers.

The reviews on the Yamaha one though, have not been that positive. I would say, look through some of the threads, find the one you are sure you like, and then go from there.

As was mentioned... you can order them through TechLine. I handled the last Group Buy on them... since then I believe the price has come down a bit, and you can now also order them from here...

So, there ya go... Two ways to get it. (Ours came with the Yamaha logo on the back. Looking at the link it says it "may" come with it. I would "guess" the odds are it would, unless things have changed... it has been a while.

I'm contemplating selling mine to buy a Corbin seat. My wife wants to ride with me, and I'm not sure I want to switch back or forth. You can see pics of it in the classifieds as I bought batkins bike last weekend.
