 ummmm these aren't the uasual type. This is just too much... darn things are 14 feet long and use a 5 cylinder to 9 cylinder radial engine!
Engines start at like $3,200!! Planes are in the same range. Then theres radios and flight controls... might as well buy the real thing... Even have monster RC Jets!

Link to a page with a bunch of videos of these things flyin http://www.composite-arf-world.com/compositearfworld/httpdocs/videos.htm

 I can't believe some of these things... :alky

these things are a blast to fly. I learned to fly them when i was around 8 or so. my dad is really into them, probably has around 20. Largest one is a British Spitfire done in military fashion, has about a 8' wing span. Most impressive is a F4 Phantom Jet he started to build but unfortunatly hasnt had the time to finish, but it is powered by a real jet turbine engine.

There is a video floating around online of a guy who has a jet engine B52 replica with 8 jet engines on it. Engine cost for all 8? $30,000!!!

Yep, there about $3700 each. Saw them too but was more impressed by the radial due to the complexity.

Somewhere I got a vid of a actual V-8 in a T-bucket hotrod RC car. The car is about 18 inches long. Engine is a 4 stroke V8 about the size of a honey dew melon, has 4 seperate open drag pipes on both sides, sounded pretty wild for a tiny little thing.

Also seen a hand made v-12 a guy built in his kitchen.... He actually built a entire complete 512 Ferarri because he said he couldn't afford the real thing he built a replica.... took him 12 years but its exact in practically every detail.... mad Itallian guy did it. Had his family all standing about as he showed it off. Doors opened, windows went up and down.... and it actually started up and ran. That was something of a accomplishment considering he had no real machinery to do something like that.... Amazing what willpower can do...

My grandpa builds those things like mad (then crashes them) I built a nice 4 stroke trainer and put floats on it, we flew it up at lake sushwap (sp) in canada for a weekend and I havent flown it since.. was damn fun, nothing like landing a plane on the water, its so smooth.

*misses those days*
