Hey guys.. I´ve already checked through a couple of R6 forums but haven´t founf info bout it.. Do you know if a FZ6 top triple clamp will fit a 2008 R6S?? I´m looking to do a conversion (i can´t stand my wrists with clip-ons anymore) by getting a FZ6 top clamp and putting it in a r08 R6S, I know the fork holes are the same diameter (43mm) but what about the steering stem hole?? Would I need to change the whole triple tree or just the top clamp?? ´

Thanx a lot guys!!

I'd search for the threads on this board that went the opposite of what you are trying to do..... I seem to recall there being an issue with using the R6 top tripple clamp; if my memory serves, the holes for the fork tubes do not align between the FZ and R6 clamps. They are the same diameter, but the offset is slightly different.

The steering stops were an issue as well, I think.

FZ6 triple clamps are ~2mm (IIRC) wider on each side of the wheel and the front fender tabs do not match up with the R6S front fender. As rennsport mentioned, Helibars (or convertibars) would be a much simpler solution as well as costing roughly the same.

Hey thanx a lot for the info guys.. as oso2k says i think it´s easier to get a modification to the existing top clamp. I found a nice one at powersportfx.com at 100 bucks so it´s nice... hehe
