Hello,

Just have a quick question for you. This morning I was running a little late and did something stupid. It's been rain this morning and I was in my truck. was an idiot and drove to fast around a turn and spun out. I did not get pulled over but I am kind of worried about others calling me in for it. If something like this happens do the police act on it an issue a citation even if they did not see it happen themselves?

All depends on your state laws. Some states will let people swear to the magistrate and then they can issues summons, other states won't let you do that. In NC if I don't see it I can't do much about it from that state point. Now that only applys to certain laws so.

It depends on where you are, I know here they really can't do anything. I've had police call my house, come to my house, and pull me over after the fact for doing something stupid and someone calling them. However, everytime the officer wasn't able to do anything except hassle me for a few.

Its a misd. traffic offense which did not occur in the police presence therefore they can't personally act on it, but a private citizen can prosecute. But.......since the police didn't stop you when this happened or shooooortly after, there's no proof other than your own admittance that you were the person driving at time of occurrence.....SHHHHHHHHHH :eek:nfloor
